Black Girls Gather (BGG) was the first program I applied to after starting Halifax Charcuterie. I needed help and direction after the success of the 2021 holiday season. I knew I wanted my business to continue to be successful, make it more profitable and scale up. The program they offer to entrepreneurs provided so much value for me as someone starting out.

Each week there were different facilitators that spoke about all the areas of business-including taking care of yourself. Each session was 2-3 hours which I thought was a perfect time, because an hour wasn’t enough. I still reflect on the notes I made during each of those classes. Whenever the opportunity comes up I encourage women to enrol in their program! They’ve directly impacted my success with Halifax Charcuterie, and I’m so grateful.
